Insulation Materials Research Institute


The company has established three provincial-level scientific research and technological platforms: the ‘Hunan Provincial Engineering Technology Research Centre for Specialty Paper and Paperboard’, the "Hunan the ‘Hunan Provincial Engineering Technology Research Centre for Specialty Paper and Paperboard’, and the ‘Hunan Provincial Industrial Design Centre’. It has appointed an expert committee comprising senior industry specialists and academicians from the Russian Academy of Engineering, establishing the Insulation Materials Research Institute. This institute has assembled a professional technical team with over 30 years' experience in insulation materials-related fields, forming a technical talent pipeline encompassing professors, senior research engineers, senior engineers, PhDs, and masters.






Standards & Patents


The company has spearheaded and participated in the formulation of numerous national and industry standards, including those for Electrical Pressboard and Thin Paperboard and Laminated Paperboard for Electrical Applications. It has contributed to research projects such as the Preparation Technology for Paper-Based Composite Materials for Electrical and New Energy Applications, undertaken under the 2017 Key Project for Enhancing and Industrialising Fundamental Materials Technology within the National Key R&D Programme. The company has established collaborative research frameworks with multiple research institutes, leading universities, and premium transformer manufacturers, jointly pursuing cutting-edge technological exploration and research into novel products, processes, and applications. To date, the company has accumulated over 100 scientific and technological achievements, securing 124 authorised patents, including 14 invention patents.





Testing Capability


The company has obtained certification for the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and the Weapons Equipment Quality Management System. It has established an advanced testing and analysis centre for insulating paper and paperboard, equipped with 160 sets of state-of-the-art inspection and testing facilities. These include fibre imaging analysers, X-ray machines, dielectric loss testers, dielectric constant testers, computerised paper tear strength testers, breakdown voltage testers, and other performance evaluation equipment. This enables comprehensive performance testing of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods.
